The Association of Play Industries (API) is the lead trade body in the play sector. It represents the interests of the providers of both outdoor and indoor play equipment and safer surfacing. The API promotes best practice and high quality play provision within the play industry.

TheĀ New Uses of Screens in Post-Lockdown Britain study has been undertaken within the School of Media and Communication at the University of Leeds, funded by the Research England Policy Support. A survey of 500 UK adults and 20 interviews, funded by Research England, revealed that half of respondents now look at screens for 11 hours or more a day, and more than a quarter look at screens for 14 hours or more a day.
