The JU:MP team has launched its first onboarding workshops in Bradford Moor, marking an exciting milestone in the programme’s mission to get more children and families active across the district.

The workshops brought together local stakeholders to develop a shared understanding of the JU:MP programme and its whole systems approach to physical activity. Participants engaged in neighbourhood system mapping exercises, exploring the unique challenges and opportunities that exist within Bradford Moor.

The collaborative sessions aimed to create a comprehensive picture of the local landscape, identifying barriers to physical activity while highlighting existing assets and potential pathways for engagement with children and families.

“The enthusiasm and commitment from everyone involved are driving this process forward,” said Kammy Siddique. “These workshops are just the beginning – there’s still lots to do, but the energy and dedication we’ve seen is exactly what we need to make a real difference in this neighbourhood.”

The JU:MP team has expressed gratitude to all participants who contributed their time, expertise, and local knowledge to these initial mapping sessions. The insights gathered will help shape the programme’s approach as it works to increase physical activity among young people and families in Bradford Moor.

The programme will continue to build on this foundation in the coming weeks as it develops targeted interventions based on the community’s identified needs and strengths.
