JU:MP awards community grants to ten grassroots organisations

We are delighted to announce the awarding of community grants to ten grassroots organisations across Bradford, as part of our ongoing commitment to fostering active lifestyles amongst local children and their families.

The JU:MP Community Grants Fund will support voluntary, community, faith and enterprise sector organisations in the delivery and development of strength-based projects and initiatives across the Bradford District. There will be a specific focus on Keighley, Great Horton, Bradford Moor and Tong neighbourhoods, to help create more inclusive, accessible, and sustainable opportunities for children to move, play and stay active within their own neighbourhoods.

The successful organisations for these grants include:

  • Biasan Community
  • Unity Academy
  • Bierley Community Association
  • Horton Bank Top Community Foodbank
  • Ash Yorkshire CIC/Friends of Bowling Park
  • Kyffin Place Community Centre
  • Hainworth Wood Community Centre
  • Friends of Brackenhill Park
  • Sunnah Sports CIC
  • Bracken Bank and District Community Association

 Sam Bacon Director of Active Bradford and JU:MP commented,

“Through the JU:MP Community Grants Programme, we are empowering local organisations to make a real difference, by collaborating with grassroots groups, we can tap into the energy, creativity, and local knowledge needed to create vibrant, sustainable opportunities for children to be active. We are excited to see the positive impact these communities will have on our communities.”

Projects must be delivered by 31st December 2024.
